Aims

The Rose of Sharon Foundation (ROSF) is a private, voluntary, non-profit, faith based, non-governmental Organisation based in Lagos state, Nigeria.  Our mission statement includes easing the burdens of existence for widows and orphans, which we do through our community network amongst others.

The foundation was formally launched with the special grace of God on the 23rd of May 2008 at the Grand hall of the Eko hotels and suites.  Over 350 distinguished ladies and gentlemen drawn from various sectors of our society attended the event and pledged their support to our projects.

  13. Congratulations and well done on your great achievements in uplifting poor Nigerian widows and their children. I am very proud of your humanitarn projects. As a widow my self l fully understand the. agonies and the need to support poor widows and their children The Nigerian government should abolish all barbaric cultural practices that disempower and punish. Innocent widows at a difficult time that they are so vulnerable and traumatised .there should be laws effectively to protect widows and heir children from all sort of abuses and greedy relatives who often inflict harm on bereaved widows. I will like to voluntarily contribute my professional services as a British trained social worker of Nigerian origin . God bless.

Please I am a graduate but with great paSsion for helping the less privileged. I recently got to know about your foundation.Since I am not working now,I don’t mind to work with your organization for few months for free.I really want to know what it takes to be helpless and how to show people love. Last year, myself and few of my friend joined hand together to open a foundation(LOVE HEART FOUNDATION) that targeted the destitute. We visited them and gave out gifts but were unable to continue because some of my friends had to go for their youth service and some got jobs.As for me the memory still lingers.I want to assist the leSs privilege. Can your foundation assist me in achieving my dreams? If not, please let me know how I can make dis dream a reality?I am eagerly looking forward for your response. Thanks
